Our English language week has various activities and contests for each class. One of them was the Poetry Recitation Competition. Grade 4 students competed against each other while reciting original works of English poetry. Recitations included everything from some of the most famous poems and songs to poems written by students (In the video ypu can see Emanuelle Antonious reciting her own poem).
This competition gave the opportunity to students to appreciate a piece of literature, build self-confidence and develop oratory skills!
The top 6 winners (3 in each class) were chosen on the basis of the vote count. So, the first place was won by Charbel Al Kaddoum and Imad Asyala; the second place – by Rayan Deghlawi and Lea Salloum; the third place – by Emanuelle Antonios and Elie Mansour. Congratulations!
